Country Gone Awry is a Simi Valley-based band
performing an eclectic musical montage of Pop and Classic Country, with a
touch of Blues, Folk, Country Fried Classic Rock, and jumpin’
Rockabilly to round things out. The diverse play list includes material from
Rascal Flatts, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban, Toby
Keith, Merle Haggard, The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The members of Country Gone Awry have been playing together for several years,
honing the sounds and styles of the music they love to play. Country Gone Awry
takes great pride in staying on top of the Top 40 country, because that is what
their audiences want to hear, but there are a few odd pieces thrown in to keep
things lively such as Johnny Cash followed by Brian Setzer. Country Gone Awry
can perform acoustic based sets for an intimate venue or open the valve and let
the energy flow for larger venues.
